Charity

Following the success of the 5 Relay Marathon's since 2013, the Rotary Club of Romsey continues to organise the event. Since 2013 we've raised over £170,000 for local good causes of the teams choice.

We're back, this time on Sunday 14th May 2017, Broadlands Park. So Get Involved.

The Barratt Homes Relay Marathon has established itself not just as a fundraising event but it also gives a chance for charities to showcase their work and connect with one another.

The Relay Marathon provides an opportunity for charities to raise money either by entering a team made up of their own fundraisers or by encouraging other groups to run in support. If your charity is interested in entering a team then you may provide your details using the form on the teams page.

In 2017 we intend to launch a charities forum, held on the Broadlands Estate, alongside the Relay Marathon on Sunday 14th May. We hope that such a forum will enable charities to engage with the community that they serve and to publicise in more detail the importance of the work that they do, to converse with other charities working in similar sectors, discuss salient issues, share best practice with one another and perhaps to work with one another within the community.

The Rotary Club of Romsey, organisers of the Relay Marathon, are looking for charities to work with on projects in and around Romsey, and we hope that the forum will give us the chance to learn a little about your charity and the possibility of working together. Of course, joining us in May 14th will also be a fundraising opportunity for your charity, and we'd be very interested in any innovative ideas you may have to this end.

From the beginning of 2017 there will be an application form to attend the forum on this webpage. Until then you're more than welcome to register your interest or give us your thoughts by emailing us at info@romseymarathon.co.uk.
